Experiences from site visit in Belgium

On August 18th, the Greenresilient project was presented at the vegetable research center Kruishoutem (PCG) during an open day focussing on the organic protected crops (greenhouse and polytunnel).

The experimental design and the main objectives of the Greenresilient project at the Belgian experimental site were presented to about 20 participants, including farmers, advisors and researchers.

Visitors learned about the different rotation systems, mulching materials and fertilization methods. Especially the use of mulch and its influence on weed control, soil moisture content and the availability of nutrients were interesting topics leading to constructive discussions.
